When the vectors a→ =8n and b→ =6n find the c
n200080 [17]

Answer:

14 N and 2 N

Explanation:

We have two vectors:

a = 8 N

b = 6 N

When the two vectors are in the same direction, their resultant is simply given by the sum of the magnitudes of the two vectors. Therefore, we will have:

c=a+b=8 + 6 = 14 N

Vice-versa, when the two vectors are in opposite directions, we have to consider one of the two vectors as being negative: therefore, the resultant will be given by the difference between the magnitudes of the two vectors. Therefore, in this case, we will have:

c=a-b=8-6 = 2N

A dog runs 3 miles and 4 miles west in 6 hours. What’s the dogs total distance and displacement ?
Inga [223]

Complete question:

A dog runs 3 miles east and 4 miles west in 6 hours. What’s the dogs total distance and displacement ?

Answer:

The total distance covered by the dog is  7 miles

The displacement of the dog is 1 mile west

Explanation:

Given;

initial position of the dog = 3 miles east

final position of the dog = 4 miles west

time of motion, t = 6 hours

The total distance covered by the dog is given as;

Total distance = 3 miles + 4 miles = 7 miles

The displacement of the dog is given as;

displacement = final position of the dog  - initial position of the dog

displacement =  4 miles west - 3 miles east = 1 mile west

Can someone answer these?
Scorpion4ik [409]

Nine

Basically you are using d = r * t

Frequency is 1 / t

d is more commonly represented by lambda (\lambda). Lambda is the wavelength.

so the formula \lambda = c / f

More commonly it is written as \lambda*f = c.

Givens

c = 3*10^8 m/s

\lambda = 0.1 nm = 0.1 nm *[1 m /1 * 10^9 nm] = 0.1 * 10^ - 9 meters.

f = ??

f = \dfrac{3*10^8}{0.1 * 10^-9}

f = 3 * 10^8  * 10^9 /  0.1  = 3 *  10^18

Answer: C

Ten

\lambda = c/f

\lambda = 3*10^8 / 1 * 10^16

\lambda = 3*10^-8 meters

\lambda = 30 * 10^-9 meters = 30 nm

Answer: D
