Help please. There's this guy at my school who is seen as one of the popular guys ( I don't really care about that) but I really

like him and I don't know if he likes me back or if he just has a flirty personality. He also talks and jokes with other girls sometimes but it seems like he makes an effort to touch me often. I don't see him do that with anyone else. (Lots of fist bumps lol) there was even one time he even made me dap him up then covered our hands with his other hand for a few seconds IN CLASS WITH OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING. Ughhhh I don't know. He also talks to me more seriously when we're alone and not as flirty as when other people are around but still makes me smile and my heart races. but there are other times when it seems like he could care less and never really talks to me outside of that class and we don't snap eachother or anything. He also will be doing school work and randomly get up to talk to me or high five or something lol. Sorry this is so long I'm just so confused (I'm in high school btw)

Answer:

Honestly i would just ask him. i know its scary but its better to clear the air . The worst thing that happens is him saying no. Yes rejection hurts but i would rather know his true feelings than catch feelings secretly and get let down later. It takes a lot of courage, but just remember that if this one doesnt work out, it only leads you one step closer to the one youll end up with. im wishing you luck. You got this!

a person

Loping Positive Self Esteem
pshichka [43]

Answer:

C. Scientists agree that both genetics and environment are important in developing self-esteem.

Explanation:

Self-esteem can be defined as the level of confidence and self-respect possessed by an individual in himself or herself, as well as the believe that he or she is both worthy and valuable.

Generally, self-esteem can be measured as either to be low or high; an individual that feels depressed, pessimistic, needy, insecure has a low self-esteem while an individual that is optimistic, confident, has self-respect, happier has a high self-esteem.

Also, the level of confidence and self-respect an individual has in himself is greatly influenced by two (2) factors: genetics and environment.

Hence, the true statement about genetics and environment is that scientists agree that both genetics and environment are important in developing self-esteem.

This ultimately implies that, an offspring having parents with low self-esteem is likely to inherit that trait and become low in self-esteem during their adult life. The environmental factors that affect an individual's self-esteem are schools, friends, media, family etc.
