Answer:

σ = ±708 nC/m²

Q = ±177 nC

Explanation:

given data

Side of copper plate L = 50 cm

Electric field, E = 80 kN/C

solution

we get here Charge density,σ that is express as

σ = E x ε₀         ....................1

here ε₀ is Permittivity of free space that is 8.85 x 10⁻¹² C²/Nm²

so put value in eq1we get

σ = 80 x 10³ x 8.85 x 10⁻¹²

σ = 708 x 10⁻⁹ C/m²

σ = 708 nC/m²

and

now we get here total change on each faces

Q = σ  A    ...............2

Q = 708 x 10⁻⁹ x (0.50)²

Q = 177 nC

Are wind-driven currents found near the surface of the oceans or in the deep waters of the ocean?
drek231 [11]

Wind-driven currents are found NEAR THE SURFACE of the oceans

Explanation:

Surface currents are at the interphase between the hydrosphere and atmosphere. Therefore the feel the greatest effect of drag by wind currents, especially prevailing winds (that blow predominantly in one direction like westerlies and easterlies) within the lower atmosphere. The deep currents, on the other hand, are more influenced by Coriolis effect of the earth’s rotation. It is these differences in influences of surface and deeper currents that cause Ekman transport in oceans.

Light with a wavelength of λ = 689 nm. is incident on a single slit of width w = 3.75 micrometers. A screen is located L = 0.65
rodikova [14]

Answer:

119.42 x 10⁻³ m

Explanation:

The distance of first dark fringe from central bright spot will be equal to the width of fringe .

Fringe width = λL /w

where λ is wavelength of light, w is slit width , L is distance of screen .

So required distance

= \frac{689\times10^{-9}\times0.65}{3.75\times10^{-6}}

= 119.42 x 10⁻³ m

A handheld blow dryer might reach 131 degrees Fahrenheit. A hair dryer gets hot enough to burn skin, but not hot enough to complete serious tasks like striping paint and removing serious. By the way I got this from google.

How does a decrease in thermal energy affect the kinetic energy of the particles in each state of matter?
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

kinetic and potential energy). The opposite is true when you remove thermal energy: Particles move slower (less kinetic energy). Particles get closer together (less potential energy)
