Think of it this way 75.5 is the cost of 1kg so for 6.5 kg you just multiply it with the cost per kg, therefore gettinf 75.5x6.5 = Rs 490.75

If 10 pencils and 7 erasers cost $4.23 and 3 pencils and 1 eraser cost $0.95, what is the cost of 2 erasers?
QveST [7]

Answer: $0.58

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Let x represent pencil and y represent eraser

10x + 7y = 4.23   →   1(10x + 7y = 4.23)   →   10x + 7y =  4.23

3x  + y  = 0.95   →  -3(3x  + y  = 0.95)   →   <u>-21x - 7y</u> =<u> -6.65 </u>

                                                                    -11x         = -2.42

                                                                  <u>÷-11          </u>   <u>÷-11       </u>

                                                                         x        = 0.22

      3x + y = 0.95

3(0.22) + y = 0.95

   0.66 + y = 0.95

               y = 0.29

2y = 2(0.29)  = 0.58

How many ways can you arrange seven different books on a shelf?
Vikki [24]

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 7 books that can go in the first spot.

After a book has been placed in the first spot, there are 6 books left that can go in the second spot.

After that, there are 5 books that can go in the third spot.

So on and so forth.

So the number of ways is:

7×6×5×4×3×2×1 = 7! = 5040

Exam for edmentum// multiplying monomials please help
Artemon [7]

Answer:

3 {w}^{5}  \times  {7w}^{5}  \\  \\  = (3 \times 7)( {w}^{5}  \times  {w}^{5} ) \\  \\  = 21( {w}^{5}  \times  {w}^{5} )

from law of indices:

{x}^{a}  +  {x}^{b}  =  {x}^{(a + b)}

therefore:

= 21 \{ {w}^{(5 + 5)}  \} \\  \\  ={ \boxed{ 21 {w}^{10} }}

Find the simplified form of the expression. Give your answer in scientific notation.
maksim [4K]
It's answer will be 36x10^5 As we have (4x10^10)(9x10^-5) All terms of this expression are being multiplied So we will solve it in two parts, simple terms and terms having powers (4x9)(10^10x10^-5) As we know when same terms having some powers are multiplied, their powers are added (36)(10^(10-5)) (36)(10^5) So it will become 36x10^5
