How is the president able to limit or check the power of the legislative branch
maksim [4K]

Answer:

The president's veto bill helps him or her in limiting the power of the legislative branch of the government.

Explanation:

The presidential veto allows the president to reject a bill passes by the congress, however, the congress might leave out the veto, if they meet a threshold of two third majority from both houses in supports of the override of the veto.

What was the Monroe doctrine? Who wrote it? What year was it created?
klemol [59]

Answer:

What we call the Monroe Doctrine is a foreign concept  policy concept first mentioned in president James Monroe´s speech to Congress in December 1823. It includes two important principles.

The first is that statement that any intervention of European powers in the affairs of the nations of the American continent will bee seen as a hostile act to the interests of the United States. Washington would not welcome any such interference in the hemisphere.  "America for Americans" is the phrase that epitomizes this idea of the Monroe Doctrine.

The other principle is that the US would not intervene in the affairs of Europe and would rather stay neutral regarding rivalries among foreign powers.
