How can a muscle relaxant drug such as carisoprodol help treat an autoimmune disorder? The excretion of uric acid can be forced

to occur by the relaxing of muscles, thereby ending autoimmune inflammation associated with gout. Muscle spasms associated with multiple sclerosis and caused by autoimmune damage to the nervous system can be reduced by muscle relaxation. Chronic stress associated with fibromyalgia can be reduced by muscle relaxants so that stress no longer causes the body to attack itself. The loss of calcium associated with osteoporosis can be reduced when the muscles around bones become less tense.
