Answer:

  • d. First: 6 cups, Second: 7 cups

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Answer choices:
  • If you used 4 cups of sugar, how much flour does each recipe need?
  • a. First: 2 cups, Second: 8 cups
  • b. First: 7 cups, second: 6 cups
  • c. First: 4 cups, second: 2 cups
  • d. First: 6 cups, Second: 7 cups

Solution

Using the formulas to find the amount of flour needed:

  • 1. y = 1.5x = 1.5*4 = 6 cups
  • 2. y = 7/4x = 7/4*4 = 7 cups

Correct choice is d.

Quick! 8 points! best answer is brainiest!
Novosadov [1.4K]
What I understand from the picture given, she had 2 ribbons with the length of 1/4.
These would be the two shortest ones.
So: 1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4
      = 1/2

I hope this helps and I know that it is different to what HimyBrainy put but it is what I understood! :/

the function of y= x^2 - 4x + 8 approximates the height y, of a bird and its horizontal distance, x as it flies from one fence p
Vika [28.1K]
Rewrite the given equation as
y=x^2-4x+8=x^2-4x+4+4=(x-2)^2+4.
Since (x-2)^2\ge 0, you can conclude that the imimum value of y will be gained for the minimum value of (x-2)^2. The minimum value of (x-2)^2 is 0 for x=2.
So, y(2)=0+4=4.
Answer: minimum value of y is 4, when x=2.
