3. Using Equation 18-5 and the pKIn value you found, determine the ratio [In-]/[HIn] at the pH in the middle of the range you st

udied (i.e., pH = 6.0 for bromocresol purple, pH = 7.0 for bromothymol blue, and pH = 7.7 for phenol red). Show how you accomplished this. Draw a conclusion about the relative concentrations of In- and HIn at pH values very close to the pKIn of the indicator.

Answer:

Explanation:

[In-]/ [HIn] = [KIn]/ [H3O+]

Use the  values of  PkIN = 7.1,

KIN=8.14E-8, and

[H3O+] = 10E-7

To plug them in as follows:

(8.14E-8)/ (10E-7) = 0814, thus shows a  very close  ratio 1 to 1

A small container of perfume is opened in a classroom. Soon every student in the room smells the perfume. Explain this in terms
iogann1982 [59]

When perfume or cologne is sprayed into the air, it turns into a gas and its particles mix with other air particles that quickly move around the room. This is because gas is the least dense of the three states of matter. It moves quickly into any space or volume because it has the least density. This is called diffusion, when molecules or particles move from areas with high concentration to low concentration areas.

An object weighing 90 n has a volume of 45 ml and a mass of 9.0 g what is its density
UNO [17]
D= mass over volume

So, density equals 9.0g divided by 45ml.

SO, D=.25 g/ml

I'm not 100% sure this is correct, though. Best if luck. ♡
