Let x the number od milles travelled, since the taxi charge $2 per mille, multiplying this by the miles travelled (x) will yield the cost of the taxi ride as far as how far it took you

2x

Then adding this amount to the cost of the taxi ($4) bcz is the set fee, it will give you the total cost of the taxi ride (that should be less (<) than $20)

2x + 4 < 20

To graph the Inequality, we have to clear variable "x"

2x+4\ \textless \ 20&#10; \\ 2x\ \textless \ 20-4&#10;\\2x\ \textless \ 16&#10;\\\\x\ \textless \   \frac{16}{2} &#10;\\\\x\ \textless \ 8

A door to a playhouse is 50 inches tall. Which of the following is another measure equal to the height?
Effectus [21]

Answer:

4 ft 2 in.

Step-by-step explanation:

A door to a playhouse is 50 inches tall

we know that

1 in---------------> is 0.0833333 ft

so

50 in-------------> 50*0.0833333---------> 4.167 ft

4.167 ft----------> [4 ft+0.167 ft]

remember that

1 in---------------> is 0.0833333 ft

X in----------------> 0.167 ft

X=0.167/0.0833333----------> X=2 in

4.167 ft----------> [4 ft+0.167 ft]--------> [4 ft+2 in]

What is the y-value of the vertex of the function f(x) = –(x + 8)(x – 14)?
maxonik [38]

we have

f(x)=-(x+8)(x-14)

Convert to vertex form

f(x)=-(x+8)(x-14)\\f(x)=-( x^{2}-14x+8x-112) \\f(x)=-( x^{2}-6x-112)\\f(x)=-x^{2}+6x+112

we know that

the equation of a vertical parabola in vertex form is equal to

y=a(x-h)^{2} +k

where

(h,k) is the vertex

f(x)=-x^{2}+6x+112

Group terms that contain the same variable, and move the constant to the opposite side of the equation

f(x)-112=-(x^{2}-6x)

Complete the square. Remember to balance the equation by adding the same constants to each side

f(x)-112-9=-(x^{2}-6x+9)

f(x)-121=-(x^{2}-6x+9)

Rewrite as perfect squares

f(x)-121=-(x-3)^{2}

f(x)=-(x-3)^{2}+121

the vertex is the point (3,121)

therefore

<u>the answer is </u>

The y-value of the vertex is 121

  2. Investigate customer issue
  3. Complete Online Training
  4. Attend team meeting
<h3>How to order the events?</h3>

From the complete question (see attachment) the events must be ordered based on their priorities, followed by the time and then impact.

Using the above highlight, the events with the top priorities are:

Events 1 and 2

The events with the most number of hours are:

Events 1 and 2

Event 4 has more priority than event 3.

So, we have the following order

1, 2, 4 and 3
