Answer:

M = (-3,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the midpoint M of the line segment joining the points

A = (-5,7) and B = (-1, -5)

The mid point of the line segment joining the points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂) is given by :

M=(\dfrac{x_1+x_2}{2},\dfrac{y_1+y_2}{2})\\\\M=(\dfrac{-5+(-1)}{2},\dfrac{7+(-5)}{2})\\\\M=(-3,1)

Hence, the required point is (-3,1).

Please help me solving this problem.
Illusion [34]

(a) The radius of the circle is the distance the wave travels since it first formed, so if <em>g(t)</em> is the radius of the circle at time <em>t</em>, then it changes at a rate according to

d<em>g</em>/d<em>t</em> = 60 cm/s

Integrate both sides with respect to <em>t</em> to solve for <em>g</em> :

∫ d<em>g</em>/d<em>t</em> d<em>t</em> = ∫ (60 cm/s) d<em>t</em>

<em>g(t)</em> = (60 cm/s) <em>t</em> + <em>C</em>

but <em>C</em> = 0 since the radius at <em>t</em> = 0 must be 0.

<em>g(t)</em> = (60 cm/s) <em>t</em>

<em />

(b) The area of any circle with radius <em>r</em> is <em>πr</em> ². So

<em>f(r)</em> = <em>πr</em> ²

(c) The composition of <em>f</em> with <em>g</em> represents the area of water encircled by the wave at time <em>t</em> :

<em>(f</em> o <em>g)(t)</em> = <em>f(g(t))</em> = <em>π</em> <em>g(t) </em>²

What is a possible value for the missing term of the geometric sequences?
Ganezh [65]
A(n)=ar^(n-1)  and we can find the rate upon using the ratio of two points...

50/1250=1250r^2/1250r^0

1/25=r^2

r=1/5  so

a(n)=1250(1/5)^1=250

...

You could have also found the geometric mean which is actually quite efficient too...

The geometric mean is equal to the product of a set of elements raised to the 1/n the power where n is the number of multiplicands...in this case:

gm=(1250*50)^(1/2)=250
