Answer:

an earthquake might affect the atmosphere because the ground releases toxic gases that are released into the atmosphere. plus, earthquakes create dust and gas emission released from the ground. and these gases go to the atmosphere and it adds to the air we breathe.

an earthquake might affect the hydrosphere because the groundwater flows from springs by causing expansion and contraction of the aquifer from which the spring flows.

an earthquake might affect the biosphere because it kills people and animals. It always disrupts ecosystem and destroys plants and crops.

The base of a trinagle is increased by 20% and it’s height is increased by 30%. By what percent is the area of the triangle incr
Molodets [167]

Lets say the base is x and the height is y. The new base would be 1.2x and the new height would be 1.3y

Area of a triangle is base times height divided by 2:

1.2x*1.3y/2 = (1.2*1.3 + x*y)/2 = 1.56xy/2 = 0.78xy = 78% of xy

But a normal area would be 50% of xy

78% - 50% = 38%

ANSWER: 38% increase

Which equation represents a line which is parallel to the line 8y-3x=-8
marin [14]

First, we need to make the equation given to be in the form;

y=mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the intercept

8y - 3x = -8

Add 2x to both-side of the equation

8y = 3x - 8

Divide through the equation by 8

y = 3/8 x -1

comparing the above with y =mx + b

m = 3/8

slope of parallel equations are equal

From the options given the only equation with slope 3/8 is;

y= 3/8 x + 8

y=\frac{3}{8}x\text{ + 8}

The above equation of the line is parallel to 8y - 3x = -8

Answer this and add work, show all work for math. :P

Lines are in the form y=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.  This line is thus y=9/4x-14, so C is correct.  Multiplying by four, we get 4y=9x-56.  Adding 56 and subtracting 4y, we see that 9x-4y=56, and multiplying by -1, we get 4y-9x=-56, so A is also correct.  At this point, it is clear that B and D are incorrect, so A and C only are correct.
