Givethanks, an Indian, wants to have a turkey dinner. He and his “dog”, Wolf, go looking for a turkey. While on this turkey hunt

, they come across a field of corn. Givethanks just has to have some of the corn and picks some to take home. While in the corn field, Givethanks spots the biggest turkey he has ever seen and captures it. On the way home to his village, Givethanks and Wolf come to a river where there is a small boat that will only fit Givethanks and one other thing. Now, Givethanks wants to get Wolf, the turkey and the corn across the river, but Wolf will eat the turkey if they are left alone and the turkey will eat the corn if it is left alone with the corn.
Your Task: Figure out how Givethanks will get Wolf, the turkey and the corn across the river. You must show how you feel he can accomplish this task. You must write a paragraph explaining how you feel you can accomplish this task.

I need help with this.

Answer: The man and the turkey cross the river, (the wolf and corn are safe together), he leaves the turkey on the other side and goes back across.

The man then takes the wolf across the river, and since he can't leave the wolf and turkey together, he brings the turkey back.

Again, since the turkey and corn can't be left together, he leaves the turkey and he takes the corn across and leaves it with the wolf.

He then returns to pick up the turkey and heads across the river one last time.

...... this is a very old riddle. lol I had forgotten about it.

gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

28 minutes spent in washing the dishes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the table

Chore             time in minutes

Sweeping           42

Dishes                  ?

Amanda spent a total of 70 minutes competing her chores this week

Total of 70 minutes spent

42 minutes spent in sweeping . to find the number of minutes Amanda spent in washing the dishes , subtract 42 minutes from the total time spent

let x be the number of minutes spent washing the dishes

42+x=70

To solve for x , subtract 42 from both sides

42+x=70\\x= 70-42\\x=28

28 minutes spent in washing the dishes.
