Answer:

1) E(X) = 1.5

2)SD = 1.118

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Formula for expected value of this set of data is;

E(X) = Σx * P(x)

Σx = 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 6

And P(x) = ¼

Thus;

E(X) = 6 × ¼ = 1.5

2) Formula for the standard deviation is;

SD = √Σ((x - μ)²•P(x))

Where μ is the expected value = 1.5

At x = 0,we have;

(0 - 1.5)² × 1/4 = 0.5625

At x = 1, we have;

(1 - 1.5)² × 1/4 = 0.0625

At x = 2, we have;

(2 - 1.5)² × 1/4 = 0.0625

At x = 3, we have;

(3 - 1.5)² × 1/4 = 0.5625

Thus,Σ((x - μ)²•P(x)) = 0.5625 + 0.0625 + 0.0625 + 0.5625 = 1.25

Thus;

SD = √1.25

SD = 1.118

1st) You would find the volume of the larger solid. V = Base Area • Height = (10•15) • 10 = 1500
2nd find the volume of the smaller figure. (2•4) • 4 = 32
Subtract the first from second 1500 - 32 = 1468.
Then you have to find the area of the fsces left after you took out figure two and add them to the total. 4•2 = 8. 4•2 = 8. 4•4 = 16
1462 + 16 + 8 + 8 = 1494 inches cubed

You own three different rings. You wear all three rings, but no two of the rings are on the same finger, nor are any of them on
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

Therefore you can wear your rings in =336 ways

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiplication Law: If one occurs in x ways and second event occurs in y ways.Then the number of ways that two event occur in sequence is xy

Given that you have 3 different rings.

We have total 10 figures.

But you don't wear ring on your thumbs.

We have 2 thumbs.

So you can wear rings on (10-2) = 8 figures.

The ways of wearing of first ring is = 8

The ways of wearing of second ring is = 7

The ways of wearing of third ring is = 6

Therefore you can wear your rings in =(8×7×6)

                                                             =336 ways

Work out the perimeter of the triangle when the sides are : 3x-5 2x 19-x
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

4x + 14

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of the triangle is equal to the sum of its three sides.

The sides of the triangle are 3x-5, 2x, and 19-x.

Calculate their sum.

3x - 5 + 2x + 19 - x

Rearrange.

3x + 2x - x + 19 - 5

Add or subtract like terms.

4x + 14

The perimeter of the triangle is 4x + 14.

The way to solve is using order of operation PEMDAS. Its very easy. You should be able to solve it yourself. I'll give you the first 3 answers:
1. g/6=x
2. x=1/2u+1
3. z-m=x
I would give you all the answers but it would be best if you did it yourself. You teacher and parents would be much happier if you learnt the skill. Hope this answer helps! Mark as brainliest! :)
