Answer:

y = 45x miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed is the rate of change of distance with time. Mathematically,

speed = distance/time

Given that Darla travels at a constant speed of 45 miles per hour and for y miles, it takes her x hours then

45 = y/x

multiply both sides by x

45x = y

then the number of miles (y) Darla can drive in x hours

y = 45x (in miles)

Draw two polygons that have corresponding angles that are all congruent but are not similar to prove that angle congruence is no
Marina86 [1]

There are infinitely many ways to do this. One such way is to draw a very thin stretched out rectangle (say one that is very tall) and a square. Example: the rectangle is 100 by 2, while the square is 4 by 4.

Both the rectangle and the square have the same corresponding angle measures. All angles are 90 degrees.

However, the figures are not similar. You cannot scale the rectangle to have it line up with the square. The proportions of the sides do not lead to the same ratio

100/4 = 25

2/4 = 0.5

so 100/4 = 2/4 is not a true equation. This numerically proves the figures are not similar.

side note: if you are working with triangles, then all you need are two pairs of congruent corresponding angles. If you have more than three sides for the polygon, then you'll need to confirm the sides are in proportion along with the angles being congruent as well.

Answer:

i think its 12 :)

Step-by-step explanation:

20 + 48 = 68

180 - 68 = 112

20 + 48 + 112 = 18 (a full triangle!)

find the domain and range of the relation (-3,3),(-3,2),(-3,1)(-3,0).Then determine whether the relation is a function
navik [9.2K]
The domain is the x value: (-3)
The range are the y values: (0, 1, 2, 3) in order from least to greatest
No this is not a function because that value of x is "reused". You can "reuse" a y value with different x values but you can't reuse an x value ever, even if the y's are different. x's cannot be the same

A piece of ribbon is cut into 3 different pieces A, B and C. The ratio of the length of A to the length of B is 3 : 4. The ratio
dusya [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{A}{B}:\frac{3}{4}   and   \frac{B}{C}: \frac{8}{9}  and we are told that C is 6cm longer than A.  That means that C = A + 6.

We are going to cross multiply each one of those ratios.  The first one gives us

4A = 3B  and the second one gives us

9B = 8C.  But since C = A + 6, then

9B = 8(A + 6) and

9B = 8A + 48 and

Now we will solve the first equation above for A:

If 4A = 3B, then

A=\frac{3}{4}B and will use that as a sub for A in the second equation:

9B=8(\frac{3}{4}B)+48  and

9B = 6B + 48 and

3B = 48 so

B = 16.

Now that we know B, we can use it to solve for A:

4A = 3(16) and

4A = 48 so

A = 12.

Then we can use that all the way back in the expression we set up for C:

C = A + 6 so

C = 12 + 6 so

C = 18

12 + 16 + 18 is the length of the string: 46cm
