Read the quote from John Muir, founder of the Sierra Club. Government protection should be thrown around every wild grove and fo
rest on the mountains, as it is around every private orchard, and the trees in public parks. To say nothing of their value as fountains of timber, they are worth infinitely more than all the gardens and parks of towns. What is the main point Muir is trying to make? Every part of the environment is important and needs protection. The government needs to protect national forests on a wider scale. Public parks and towns need to be beautified with trees and gardens. National forests should be treated like a resource for businesses to exploit.
It is important to start practicing alternatives to non-renewable resources because we are running out very quickly and they will not be around forever. Hope this helps :)<span />
