Answer:

False.

Explanation:

Neurotransmitter release occurs from the nervous terminal or varicosities in the neuronal axon. When an action potential reaches the nervous terminal, the neurotransmitter is released by exocytose. The molecule binds to its receptor in the postsynaptic neuron, triggering an answer. As long as the signal molecule is in the synaptic space, it keeps linking to its receptor and causing a postsynaptic response. To stop this process the neurotransmitter must be taken out from the synaptic space. There are two mechanisms by which the neurotransmitter can be eliminated:

• Enzymatic degradation/deactivation: There are specific enzymes in the synaptic space, which are in charge of inactivating the neurotransmitter by breaking or degrading it. The enzyme acetylcholinesterase prevents ACh from continuing to stimulate contraction.

• Reuptake: Receptors located in the presynaptic membrane can capture de molecule to store it back in new vesicles for posterior use. These transporters are active transport proteins that easily recognize the neurotransmitter.

Which best describes the difference between osmosis and diffusion
Nana76 [90]
Well Osmosis is a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one, thus equalizing the concentrations on each side of the membrane. And Diffusion is the net passive movement of particles (atoms, ions or molecules) from a region in which they are in higher concentration to regions of lower concentration.

How does a lyric virus kill the cells that it infects
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

This may help!

Explanation:

In the lytic cycle, a phage acts like a typical virus: it hijacks its host cell and uses the cell's resources to make lots of new phages, causing the cell to lyse (burst) and die in the process. Entry: The phage injects its double-stranded DNA genome into the cytoplasm of the bacterium.

What types of bonds hold nitrogenous bases together?
Virty [35]
The nitrogenous base pairs, which are linked by hydrogen bonds that also hold the strands together, are between this backbone. However, the nitrogenous bases, which are adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine, pair up so that cytosine only pairs with guanine and adenine links up with thymine.
