Answer:

ill just do the first page

Step-by-step explanation:

3(x-8)=5x+6

3x-24=5x+6

3x-5x-24=6

3x-5x=6+24

-2x=6+24

-2x=30

x=-15

4x+20+2(x-7)=0

4x+20+2x-14=0

6x+20-14=0

6x+6=0

6x=-6

x=-1

In a rhombus MPKN with an obtuse angle K the diagonals intersect each other at point E. The measure of one of the angles of a ∆P
allsm [11]
The rhombus has a couple of very interesting properties. The first is that the diagonals meet at 90o angles.

The second is that all the sides are congruent. That's actually the key to the problem (or one of them.

The third is that the diagonals are line segments that bisect the angles where the vertex of the angle is.

So just to make sure you understand what that last statement means <PKM  =  <NKM
K is the vertex of angle PKN

Now the really heavy duty stuff about your question.
Given
K is obtuse. Therefore <PKM can't be 16o because MKN would also have to be 16 degrees and together they don't add up to anything over 90o.
So the 16o angle is at <EPK

Remember that the diagonals meet at right angles. <PEK = 90o

Finally all triangles have 180o
< PKE = 180 - 16 - 90 = 74. So to review
<PKE = 74o
<EPK = 16o
<PEK = 90o That's one half the problem.

Moving on to triangle PMN
By the properties of parallel lines and a rhombus  and isosceles triangles, that since PKN is bisected (rhombus property) Then PKN = 2* PKM =2*74 = 148o
The angle opposite <PKN is equal to <PKN so <PMN = <PKN
Since PKN = 148 then PMN = 148
Since KPN = 16o then PMN = 16o
Since triangle <PMN is isosceles <PNM = 16o

Summing up
PMN = 148o
MPN = 16o
MNP = 16o

That's both triangles solved. This is a really nice little problem. If you google properties of a rhombus, you will find all the properties I have used proven.

Based on a poll, among adults who regret getting tattoos, 12% say that they were too young when they got their tattoos. Assum
Tema [17]

Answer:

a.  0.6588

b. 0.3978

c. 0. 279

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given question the success and failure are given the number of outcomes is fixed so binomial distribution can be applied.

Here success=  p = 12 % or 12/100 = 0.12

failure = q= 1-p = 1-0.12 = 0.88

n= 10

Using binomial probability distribution

a. Probability that the number of selected adults saying they were too young is 0 or 1 is calculated as:

P (x=0,1) = 0.12 ⁰(0.88)¹⁰10 C0  + 0.12 (0.88)⁹ 10 C1=  1* 0.279 * 1  + 0.12 ( 0.3165) 10 =  0. 279 + 0.3978=  0.6588

b. Probability that exactly one of the selected adults says that he or she was too young to get tattoos is calculated as

P (x=1) =  0.12 (0.88)⁹ 10 C1=  0.12 ( 0.3165) 10 =  0.3978

c. Probability that none of the selected adults say that they were too young to get tattoos is

P (x=0) = 0.12 ⁰(0.88)¹⁰10 C0  =  1* 0.279 * 1   =  0. 279

what is the quotient 5-x/x^2 3x-4 divided by x^2-2x-15/x^2 5x 4 in simplifed form state any restrictions on the varible
zheka24 [161]

The quotient when \frac{5-x}{x^2+3x-4} /\frac{x^2-2x - 15}{x^2+5x+4} in simplified form is \frac{-(x+1)}{(x-1)(x+3)}

<h3>What is an equation?</h3>

An equation is an expression that shows the relationship between two or more numbers and variables.

Given that equation:

\frac{5-x}{x^2+3x-4} /\frac{x^2-2x - 15}{x^2+5x+4}

=\frac{5-x}{(x+4)(x-1)} /\frac{(x-5)(x+3)}{(x+4)(x+1)} \\\\=\frac{5-x}{(x+4)(x-1)} * \frac{(x+4)(x+1)}{(x-5)(x+3)}\\\\\frac{-(x-5)}{(x+4)(x-1)} * \frac{(x+4)(x+1)}{(x-5)(x+3)}\\\\=\frac{-(x+1)}{(x-1)(x+3)}

The quotient when \frac{5-x}{x^2+3x-4} /\frac{x^2-2x - 15}{x^2+5x+4} in simplified form is \frac{-(x+1)}{(x-1)(x+3)}

Can any of you guys help my cousin with her homework its very confusing to me I'm not very good at math so please help her she g

Simplify 5/15: the numerator and denominator are both multiples of 5, so the fraction can be reduced to 1/3 by dividing the top & bottom by 5. 5/15 of a rectangle is the same as 1/3 of a rectangle.

Compare 1/2 and 5/7:
The simplest way is to ask if 5/7 is more than one half. Half of 7 is 3.5, and 5 is greater than 3.5, so 1/2 < 5/7.
The way that is a little more work is to get a common denominator and make equivalent fractions of 7/14 and 10/14.

Fraction to decimal of 4/5. 4 divided by 5 = 0.8

Decimal to fraction, 0.78:
0.78 = 78 hundredths = 78/100 as a fraction. They usually want fractions in the lowest terms, so divide the numerator and denominator by two, and you have 39/50.

Mixed to improper fraction 5 2/9: multiply the denominator of 9 times the whole number of 5, that equals 45. Add the 2 in the numerator, that is 47. Keep that over 9, because we are trying to figure out how many ninths we have. 5 2/9 = 47/9

Add ‘em 3/5 + 1/2:
Make equivalent fractions with a common denominator. (10 is the least/lowest common denominator). So we are adding 6/10 + 5/10 = 11/10 or 1 1/10.

Improper to mixed, 9/4:
We have 9 fourths. 4 fourths = 1 whole. So we get 2 wholes with 1/4 left over. 9/4 = 2 1/4.

Subtract ‘em, 3/10 - 1/5.
Again, need a common denominator/equivalent fraction. 1/5 = 2/10
3/10 - 2/10 = 1/10

Draw it, 1/3:
The circle is already divided into thirds. Shade one of them in.

Multiply ‘em 2/3 x 5:
Multiply the numerator times the whole number, leave the denominator alone. 2/3 x 5 = 10/3 = 3 1/3 if they want it converted to a mixed number.

Divide ‘em: 8/9 divided by 3 is 8/27

What’s the word?
4 x 1/2 = 2 (what is one half of 4?)

Word up:
3/5 divided by 3 = 1/5

Your grade? 14/14 = 100%
