Social Studies

I haven't ready that in a while, but I do remember that John Smith referred to himself in third person rather than first in order to make other people see him as a true hero instead of conceited, because in all reality he was actually quite full of himself. He also refers to the Native Americans with much mockery. So perhaps you could say that John Smith wanted to achieve a heroic status in society.

Define symbolic interactionism?
salantis [7]

Answer:

Symbolic interactionism is a sociological theory that develops from practical considerations and alludes to people's particular utilization of dialect to make images and normal implications, for deduction and correspondence with others. In other words, it is a frame of reference to better understand how individuals interact with one another to create symbolic worlds, and in return, how these worlds shape individual behaviors.
