has 28 healthy animals, and they have a total of 64 legs. How many of his animals are cows?
2) Andrew has a collection of soda bottles. Some of them are 12-ounce bottles, and others are 16-ounce bottles. If the collection contains 20 bottles which hold a combined 300 ounces, how many of the soda bottles are 12-ounce bottles?

Need two variables and two equations for each. It also needs to be solved.

Answer:

P(3 , 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

(x₁, y₁) = A(-3,-3)    ;(x₂ , y₂) B(5, 1)

m : n = 3 : 1

P \left( \dfrac{mx_{2}+nx_1}{m+n},\dfrac{my_{2}+ny_{1}}{m+n} \right)\\\\P \left (\dfrac{5*3+(-3)*1}{3+1},\dfrac{3*1+1*(-3)}{3+1} \right)\\\\\\=P \left(\dfrac{15-3}{4},\dfrac{3-3}{4} \right)\\\\\\= P \left(\dfrac{12}{4},\dfrac{0}{4} \right)\\\\\\= P\left(3 , 0 \right)

Which shows the correct substitution of the values a, b, and c from the equation 1 = -2x + 3x² + 1 into the quadratic
antoniya [11.8K]
The coefficient 'a' for the quadratic term is a = 3
The coefficient 'b' for the linear term is b = -2
The coefficient 'c' is 0
Step-by-step explanation :
The given expression is,

To solve this problem we are using quadratic formula.
The general quadratic equation is,

Formula used :

Now we a have to solve the above equation and we get the value of 'x'.

a = 3, b = -2, c = 0

The coefficient 'a' for the quadratic term is a = 3
The coefficient 'b' for the linear term is b = -2
The coefficient 'c' is 0

12x - 30 = 2x - 5

<u>Step 2: Solve for </u><em><u>x</u></em>

  1. Subtract 2x on both sides:                    10x - 30 = -5
  2. Add 30 to both sides:                            10x = 25
  3. Divide 10 on both sides:                        x = 5/2
