Sample Response:

The article "Human Impact on the Galapagos Islands” provides more information on how to fix the overfishing problem than the video. The article states that local fishers want the government to educate new fishers. Fishers should be encouraged to try more environmentally friendly fishing practices. When fishing is not allowed, fishers should be encouraged to try a different line of work. Fishers, and the people of the islands in general, need to be made aware of the uniqueness of the Galapagos Islands so that they will be more willing to protect the islands from further damage.

Answer:

sea lions

sharks

sea birds

albatross

Explanation:

The article, "Human Impact on the Galapagos Islands" and the video "Long Line Fishing Threatens Wildlife of the Galapagos Islands", both mentioned that fishers catch animals in the water bodies that are not their main fishing targets. Some of these animals include sea lions, sharks, sea birds, and the albatross.

In the article, it was explained that overfishing was becoming a major problem  of the Galapagos Islands. Sea cucumbers and sharks were described as targets that are endangered and might soon become extinct.

In the video, sea lions, sharks, sea birds, and albatross were mentioned as targets of long line fishing which negatively affect the ecology of the Galapagos Island.

How did the kingdoms went from 2-6
Makovka662 [10]

Initially, when scientists were first using the taxonomy system to classify living organisms there were only considered to be 2 kingdoms: plants and animals. However, when the microscope was invented, scientists were able to observe differences in organisms at the cellular level! They were also able to observe microscopic living organisms like bacteria that they had not been able to observe before. Scientists realized it was necessary to add 4 new kingdoms to account for the observations they had not seen before the invention of the microscope.

Surprisingly, in a number of reactions in which either ATP or GTP are involved, the critical event is not due to the hydrolysis
kkurt [141]

Answer:

The correct answer is option d. "phosphorylation of glucose".

Explanation:

The phosphorylation of glucose is one of the most important catabolic reactions that allow to obtain energy from sugars. This reaction is the first step of glycolysis and avoid cells to lose sugars by diffusing back to its transporter. The phosphate used to phosphorylate glucose comes from the hydrolysis of one of the three phosphate of adenosine triphosphate. Therefore, phosphorylation of glucose is a processes where ATP hydrolysis is directly involved.
