So the equation would be “a squared +4 squared=8 squared.” Then you would square 4 which would be 16 and 8 which would be 64. Now the equation is a squared+ 16=64 the rest is basic algebra. Subtract 16 from 64 which is 48. Now you have a squared= 48. You get the square root of both sides so now you have the square root of a is 6.9. I’m pretty sure that’s how you do it.
