This graduated cylinder has numbers representing milliliters. A student says that the volume of the liquid inside is 21.8 millil
GaryK [48]

Explanation:

The answer for this question depends on the type of meniscus in the cylinder. If it is an upright meniscus like in water, the reading should be taken at the bottom of the meniscus. However if it is an inverted meniscus like in mercury, the reading should be taken at the top of the meniscus.

2Al(s)+Fe2O3(s) → Al2O(s)+2Fe(s) with a delta H=-847 KJ.
Scrat [10]

∆H for given reaction -847kJ

  • As it's negative reaction is exothermic

So

2 mol of Al releases 847KJ heat

4 mol Al releases

  • 2(847)
  • 1694KJ

∆H=-1694KJ

how many atoms are contained in 2.70g of aluminum provided that 32g of sulphur equals 6.02 × 10^(23)atoms
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

1.63 \times  {10}^{24}

one atom of an element = 6.02 \times {10}^{23} atom

The mass of one atom of sulphur = 32g

The mass of one atom of aluminium = 27g

so one atom of aluminium = 6.02 \times {10}^{23}

27g of AL = 6.02 \times {10}^{23} atom

2.70g of AL = X atoms

Then you cross multiply ........

and get the answer

Suppose a student completes an experiment with an average value of 2.9 mL and a calculated standard deviation of 0.71 mL. What i
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is 2.2 mL.

Explanation:

Given:

Average: 2.9 mL

SD: 0.71 mL

We can define a 1 SD range in which the value of volume (in mL) will be comprised:

Volume (mL) = Average ± SD = (2.9 ± 0.7) mL

Maximum value= Average + SD= 2.9 + 0.7 mL = 3.6 mL

Minimum value= Average - SD = 2.9 - 0.7 mL = 2.2 mL

Thus, the minimum value within a 1 SD range of the average is 2.2 mL
