Identify the roots of the equation and the multiplicities of the roots. 8(x - 2)2 = 0

Mathematics

7 0

Now,

8 ( x - 2 ) 2 = 0

or, 8 ( x^2 - 4x + 4 ) = 0

or, 8x^2 - 32x + 32 = 0

or, 8x^2 - 16x - 16x + 32 = 0

or, 8x ( x - 2 ) - 16 ( x - 2 ) = 0

or, ( 8x - 16 ) ( x - 2 ) = 0

Either,

8x - 16 = 0 x - 2 = 0

8x = 16 ◆ x = 2

◆ x = 2

I hope you understand...

It is a Right answer...

Thanks♥♥

Three airlines serve a small town in Ohio. Airline A has 48% of all scheduled flights, airline B has 26% and airline C has the r
kozerog [31]

Answer:

0.5969 = 59.69% probability that it was a flight of airline A

Step-by-step explanation:

Conditional Probability

We use the conditional probability formula to solve this question. It is

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)}

In which

P(B|A) is the probability of event B happening, given that A happened.

P(A \cap B) is the probability of both A and B happening.

P(A) is the probability of A happening.

In this question:

Event A: Left on time.

Event B: From airline A.

Probability of a flight leaving on time:

81% of 48%(airline A).

61% of 26%(airline B)

40% of 26%(airline C). So

P(A) = 0.81*0.48 + 0.61*0.26 + 0.40*0.26 = 0.6514

Probability of leaving on time and being from airline A:

81% of 48%. So

P(A \cap B) = 0.81*0.48 = 0.3888

What is the probability that it was a flight of airline A?

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)} = \frac{0.3888}{0.6514} = 0.5969

0.5969 = 59.69% probability that it was a flight of airline A

Show all your steps to your answer. 9x +6y = 78<br> 3х - 6y = -30
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

x=4

Step-by-step explanation:

You put 9x+6y=78 over 3x-6y=-30. Then, you are going to add the two equations. So, you are going to do 9x+3x, 6y-6y (since the second 6 is negative, it ends up subtracting), and 78-30. You will end up canceling the 6y's, and end up with 12x=48. Then, you will divide 48 by 12, and get x=4. Hope this helped:)
