Answer:

1680 in^3

Step-by-step explanation:

SO you got the triangle

24*10=240

240/2=120

now we just need to find the area

There is a formula but I think this is easier

So theres a rectangle with a length of 14

So if you think of the triangle as the base, you just need 14 triangles stacked up to make up the volume

So 120*14=1680

So the volume is 1680

What is the sum of the squares of the lengths of the $\textbf{medians}$ of a triangle whose side lengths are $10,$ $10,$ and $12
FrozenT [24]

A picture can help.

The median to the long side divides the isosceles triangle into two right triangles with hypotenuse 10 and short leg 6. Thus the long leg (median of interest) is found by the Pythagorean theorem to be

... √(10² -6²) = √64 = 8

Then the midpoint of the short side is found to be 6 + (6/2) = 9 units to the side and 8/2 = 4 units above the opposite vertex. Hence the square of the length of that median is 9² + 4² = 97.

The sum of squares of interest is

... 8² + 2×97 = 258

Find the value of x.
son4ous [18]

Answer:

18.0

Step-by-step explanation:

==>Given:

Triangle with sides, 16, 30, and x, and a measure of an angle corresponding to x = 30°

==>Required:

Value of x to the nearest tenth

==>Solution:

Using the Cosine rule: c² = a² + b² - 2abcos(C)

Let c = x,

a = 16

b = 30

C = 30°

Thus,

c² = 16² + 30² - 2*16*30*cos 30°

c² = 256 + 900 - 960 * 0.8660

c² = 1,156 - 831.36

c² = 324.64

c = √324.64

c = 18.017769

x ≈ 18.0 (rounded to nearest tenth)

Which graph represents the solution to the given system? y=5x+4; y=5x-3
Mars2501 [29]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

The lines do not intersect

Discussion:

Where do the lines intersect?

5x + 4 = 5x - 3     =>                   subtract 5x from both sides

4         =       -3      =>  NO WAY! The lines do not intersect

Thank you,

MrB

Select all the values that cannot be probabilities a. 3/5b. 1c. -0.45d. 0.06e. 1.16f. 0g. 5/3h. √2
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer:

c,-0.45 ,

e. 1.16

g. 5/3

h. √2

Cannot be probability.

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability of any occurrence is always in the interval of 0 to 1. 0 and 1 inclusive.

0≤P(A)≤1

Any value outside this boundaries cannot be probability.

Therefore, -0.45,1.16,5/3 and √2 cannot be probability.
