What causes interstellar dust and clouds into plants and stars
AnnZ [28]
I assume you mean planets eitherway interstellar dust and clouds have solid material and as well as minerals such as iron and over time solid chuncks start to fuse together and make a planet but with stars however it is different because a star has a little solid core surrounded by gasses (hydrogen and helium) to produce heat in a method called nuclear fusion so interstellar clouds contain gasses as well and solids as I previously said and form a star as well

this is from my understanding

A block sliding across a level surface has a mass of 2.5 kg and a mechanical energy of 20 joules. What is its velocity?
tia_tia [17]
Hi!

The energy of the block is 4 m/s

To calculate this, you need to use the equation for kinetic energy. The block is sliding (i.e. it's moving). If the object is sliding across a level surface, the only energy it has is kinetic energy, because there is no change in potential energy (which changes with height). So, the mechanical energy will be pure kinetic energy. The equation is the following, derived from the expression for kinetic energy:

v= \sqrt{ \frac{2*Ke}{m}}=\sqrt{ \frac{2*20 (kg*m^{2}*s^{-2}) }{2,5kg}}=4 m/s

Have a nice day!

explain how energy changes back and forth between kinetic and potential Energy when you jump on a trampoline
Arisa [49]

When jumping on a trampoline, the energy changes from potential to kinetic energy constantly. when you begin to jump in the air there is kinetic energy present, and when you reach maximum height then potential energy takes over for a little bit. Then, when going back down, kinetic energy takes over again until you land on the trampoline.

Hope this helps,

Trey
