$104 $146 $252(+$20= )$272

Explanation:

by subtracting the $20 from $62 you get $42.

he recieves 20$ regardless of wether he cleans a room or not so to find answer one must multiply 42 by how many rooms and add the $20

2 rooms would be 62+42 which is 104

3 rooms would be 104+42 which is 146

4 rooms would be 146+42 which is 188

5 rooms would be 188+42 which is 230

6 rooms would be 230+42 which is 272

but these are the prices including the 20$

without the 20$ the prices would be

2 rooms is 84

3 rooms is 126

4 rooms is 168

5 rooms is 210

6 rooms is 252

Translate the following word sentence into a numerical expression: When you square five times a number, you get three more than
8090 [49]
“Square five times a number” with “a number” being x is the same as saying:

5x²

“three more than the number” is the same as saying:

3 + x

Therefore the sentence “When you square five times a number, you get three more than the number.” is the same as:

5x² = 3 + x

Hope this helps, have a great day! :)

In what ways does adding a constant or coefficient to a quadrationc affect the graph
Roman55 [17]
Hope this helps 1) Equations with negative values for a produce graphs that open down and equations with a positive values for a produce graphs that open up.

2) As the absolute value of a gets larger our graphs become more narrow (they shoot towards positive or negative infinity faster). This is more interesting than it might appear. If you consider the second derivative of any quadratic it will be the a value. The second derivative represents acceleration, so the larger the a value the faster the increase of velocity and accordingly a quicker progression towards positive or negative infinity. Check this out in graphing calculator, press play to vary the value of a from -20 to 20. Notice that when the value of a approaches zero, the approximates a line, and of course when a is 0 we have the line y = 2x – 1.
