Answer: Holmes should process it further to make a profit of $306,496

Explanation:

If Holmes sells now, the selling price would be:

= Amount sold for / No. of units

= 81,500 / 2,425

= $33.61

If the company processes further and sells at $415, they will get a profit per unit of:

= 415 - 255

= $160 per unit

Incremental revenue is:

= (160 - 33.61) * 2,425 units

= $306,495.75

Holmes should process it further.

Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

The correct answer would be $73 Millions.

Explanation:

The amount of cash a company possesses is the net income which it generates over a period of time. Account receivables are also considered to be the cash amount for the company which it collects within that period. So as given in this question, we would not take $300 million Sales, as company will exclude app expenses from this amount and then the remaining amount will be considered as the Cash in hand. So $65 Million will be the net income and as the account receivables also increased to $8 Millions, we will include this amount in the net income as:

Total Cash = Net Income + Account Receivables

Total Cash = $65M + $8M

Total Cash = $73 Millions.

Penny's candies is showing a p/e ratio of 1.32, while donna's confections has a p/e ratio of 6.7. what is the general mood of in
Whitepunk [10]

Investors at Penny's candies have low expectations from the company since it has a very low P/E ratio. Either the company is not performing well or investors have discounted some bad news in future cash flows.

Whereas Donna's confections has a P/E of 6.7 which is much better than that of Penny's. So here the company is performing well and investors are positive on future good news and they expect the cash flows to improve and hence the stock rules at a higher P/E ratio

Kapono Farms exchanged an old tractor for a newer model. The old tractor had a book value of $18,000 (original cost of $40,000 l
Sati [7]

Answer:

Loss on exchange is -$7,800

initial value of tractor is $42,200

Gain on exchange is $8000

Initial value of tractor is $58,000

Explanation:

The amount of gain or loss recognizable on the exchange is the difference between the fair value of the old asset and  its book value

Loss on the asset=$10,200-$18,000=-$7,800

Initial value of the new tractor=fair value of the old tractor+cash payment

Initial value of the new tractor=$32,000+$10,200=$42,200

If fair value were $26,000

gain on the exchage=$26,000-$18,000=$8,000

Initial value of the new tractor=$32,000+$26,000=$58,000
