Therefore, -1 would make 3, 0 would make 5, 1 would make 7, & 2 would make 9.

2. y = 3/8x - 5     original equation

y = 3/8 (-8) - 5    plug in the x value

y = -3 - 5             simplify

y = -8 (-8 would make -8)  

Thereofre, 0 would make -5, 8 would make -2, 16 would make 1, 24 would make 4.
