Answer:

  38.13 = 12 +4.75h

  5.5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) The charge (c) for renting a bike for h hours is ...

  c = helmet charge + hourly charge × hours

  c = 12.00 +4.75h

To find the number of hours when the charge is 38.13, we would use the equation ...

  38.13 = 12.00 +4.75h

__

(b) To solve this 2-step linear equation, we first subtract the constant

  26.13 = 4.75h

then we divide by the coefficient of the variable.

  26.13/4.75 = h ≈ 5.5

Amanda rented the bike for 5.5 hours.

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

The result of the division is a long repeating decimal that starts off 5.50105263.... The instructions tell you to round this to the nearest tenth: 5.5. It helps to follow instructions.

Hunter-Best [27]
To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:
 1. The problem asks for the area of a cross section that is parallel <span>to face ABCD. As is parallel to that face, you have can calculate its area as following:
 A=12 cm x 6 cm
 2. Therefore, the result is:
 A=72 cm</span>²

stich3 [128]

Alright, lets get started.

Sophie has 5 pieces of string that are 4 yards each.

1 yards = 3 feet,

So, 4 yards = 4 * 3 =12 feet

Total number of string she has = 5 piece

So, total length she has = 5*12 = 60 feet

It means she had 60 feet string in starting.

Now, She uses 3 pieces that are each 3 feet long, means

She uses = 3*3 = 9 feet

So, remaining string length will be = 60 - 9 = 51 feet

Means 51 feet string does Sophie have. : Answer

Hope it will help :)
