If sin 30º = cos(3x), then x=_

Mathematics

Answer:

x = 20º

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that  sin x = cos(90-x)

Hence

sin 30º = cos(90 - 30)º

sin 30º = cos 60º

hence sin 30º can be also written as cos 60º

Also, as given

sin 30º = cos(3x)

therefore

cos 60º =  cos(3x)

as we have cos on both side then angle for both side will be same

60º =  3x

=> 60º / 3 = x

=> x = 20º

Then  x = 20º is answer.

Gina shows the steps she took to find the solution of the inequality below.
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

hello,2 th made from the wrong place.

because She should have distributed the -2 inside the parentheses.

the process should be like this;

19-2(1-x)<13

17(1-x)<13

17-17x<13

-17x<13-17 (17 goes to the opposite side as -17)

-17x<-4 (we divide each side by 17)

x= -4/-17

I hope you understand. There are errors in the first 2 parts of the question.

Answer:   " x = 12 " .

________________________________________________

Step-by-step explanation:

________________________________________________

<u>Note</u>: If 2 (two) triangles are "similar" ;  then their corresponding sides are "proportional".

________________________________________________

Since one of the sides [the "hypotenuse"] of one the triangles given ; shows the measurement containing an expression with a value of "x" — specifically;  " 6x + 28 " ;

    →  And since we want to solve for the value of "x" ;  we  use this "hypotenuse" of said particular triangle to set up a "proportion" with corresponding sides; so we can solve for "x" :

→  Set up proportions as a "ratio" ; or fraction:

       →  7:28::25:(6x + 28) ;  Solve for "x" ;

Let us write this in the form of a "fraction" :

      →  \frac{7}{28} = \frac{25}{(6x+28)} ;

________________________________________________

<u>Note</u>:

        →  Rewrite:  " \frac{7}{28} " ; by simplifying to:

                                    " \frac{1}{4} " ;

________________________________________________

         →  Since:  " \frac{7}{28} " ;

              =  " (7÷7) / (28÷7) " ;

              =  " (1 /4) " ;

              =   " \frac{1}{4} " .

________________________________________________

Now, rewrite the "proportion" ; as follows:

________________________________________________

        \frac{1}{4} = \frac{25}{(6x+28)}  ;

________________________________________________

Now:   "Cross multiply" ;  that is:

______________________________________

→   Given:   " \frac{a}{b} = \frac{c}{d} " ;

         and:  " b\neq0 " ;  " d\neq0 " ;

→  Then:   " a * d "  =  " b * c " .

________________________________________________

Likewise:   " 1(6x + 28)  =  (4) * (25) "   ;

______________________________________________

SImplify:    " 6x + 28 =  100 " ;  Solve for "x" ;

→ Subtract "28" from each side of the equation:

                  →   " 6x + 28 - 28 = 100 - 28 "  ;

    to get:   →   " 6x  =  72  "  ;

Now, divide each side of the equation by:  " 6 " ;

        to isolate "x" on one side of the equation; & to solve for "x" ; as follows:

   →   "  6x  =  72  "  ;

         →   6x / 6  =  72 / 6 ;

  to get:

         →   " x  = 12 "  ;

        →   which is the answer.

The accompanying table shows the number of bacteria present in a certain culture over a 4 hour period, where x is the time, in h
Vlad [161]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I really hope you know how to use your calculator to find regression equations, because in this forum it is impossible to teach you how to do that. I ran the data through my calculator and got the exponential equation as

y=1963.56(1.14)^x which means at 4 hours, we started with 1963 bacteria and it is growing at a rate of 114% each hour. Since we started out with an x value of 0, and that value represents the number of bacteria after 4 hours, then time 0 is 4 hours, which means that time 12 is 16 hours. We replace the x in the equation with a 12 and do the math:

y=1963.56(1.14)^{12 which gives us, in the end,

y = 9460
