5 0

Answer:

a = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

substitute x with the number 5.

5+8a=25+5a-7a

subtract 5a from both sides

5+3a=25-7a

add 7a to both sides

5+10a = 25

subtract 5 from both sides

10a=20

divide both sides by 10

a = 2

Find the real solution(s) of the equation. Round your answer to two decimal places when appropriate. 5x^6=30
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

The real solutions are

x=\sqrt[6]{6}\approx 1.35\\\\\:x=-\sqrt[6]{6}\approx -1.35

Step-by-step explanation:

The solution, or root, of an equation is any value or set of values that can be substituted into the equation to make it a true statement.

To find the real solutions of the equation 5x^6=30:

\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}5\\\\\frac{5x^6}{5}=\frac{30}{5}\\\\\mathrm{Simplify}\\\\x^6=6\\\\\mathrm{For\:}x^n=f\left(a\right)\mathrm{,\:n\:is\:even,\:the\:solutions\:are\:}x=\sqrt[n]{f\left(a\right)},\:-\sqrt[n]{f\left(a\right)}\\\\x=\sqrt[6]{6}\approx 1.35\\\\\:x=-\sqrt[6]{6}\approx -1.35

What is a terminating decimal?
Arte-miy333 [17]
A terminating decimal has digits that end. They do not go on forever. For example, 0.125 has only 3 decimal digits and does not keep on going like 1/3

A rational number is a number that canbe expressed as p/q where p and q are both integers. But q cannot equal to 0.

All terminating decimals are rational numbers, but not all rational numbers are terminating decimals. For example 1/4, which equals to 0.25 is both a rational number and a terminating decimal. On the other hand, 1/3 is a rational number but is not a terminating decimal.

A colored chip is yellow on one side and red on the other. The chip was flipped 50 times and landed red side facing up 21 times.
faust18 [17]
42%

You have essentially a fraction, 21/50, which gives you a decimal of 0.42, or 42%.

(Flipped a total of 50 times, of those, it landed red side up 21 times, so 21/50)

Look at the figure. What is another name for CA?
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

Ray AC.

Step-by-step explanation:

They are the same; if you look at the figure, you can see that A and C are the same distance from each other and a ray in either direction would be equivalent to its counterpart.
