1/x=6/21

What you need to do is set it up as a proportion.  1 cup to 6 cups cake mix, x cups to 21 cups cake mix.

21/6 is 3.5

So 3.5 cups of water to 21 cups of cake mix (:

Hope this makes sense!

The recipe calls for 1 cup of water for every 6 cups of cake mix.
So, if you take 21 and divide it by 6, which is 3.5, that's how much water you should add (in cups).

The diagonals of a quadrilateral QRST intersect at P(-1,3). QRST has vertices at Q(3,6) and R(-4,5). What must be the coordinate
erica [24]

S = (-5,0)

T = (2,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 :

Given

Q = (3,6) and R = (-4,5). P = (-1,3)

Let S be (a,b) and T be (c,d)

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other. so in order to ensure that QRST is a parallelogram, P must be the mid point of the diagonals QS and RT.

Step 2 :

P is the midpoint  of QS

So we have (3+a) ÷ 2 =  -1  and (6 + b) ÷ 2 = 3

=> 3 + a = -2    and 6 + b = 6

=> a = -5  and b =0

So S should be (-5,0)

Step 3 :

P is the midpoint  of RT

So we have (-4+c) ÷ 2 =  -1  and (5 + d) ÷ 2 = 3

=> -4+ c = -2    and 5 + d = 6

=> c = 2  and d =1

So T should be (2,1)

Step 4 :

Answer :

S = (-5,0)

T = (2,1)

Can someone find x for these questions
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

8, 36, -12

Step-by-step explanation:

Q2

41 = 8x - 23

8x = 41 + 23

8x = 64

x = 8

Q4

11 = x/2 - 7

22 = x - 14

22 + 14 = x

x = 36

Q6

3(x - 8) = -60

x - 8 = -20

x = -12

Sally either walks, cycles or drives to work. She walks about 15% of the time and drives about 3/5 of the time. What percentage
goblinko [34]

Answer: She cycles 25% of the time

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, Sally walks 15% of the time.

She drives 3/5 of the time.

We then convert 3/5 to percentage.

Converting to percentage means multiplying by a factor of 100.

Hence, Sally drives 3/5*100 = 60% of the time.

If Sally walks 15% of the time and drives 60% of the time, adding up the percentage time used by these two media of transportation will give us

60% + 15% = 75%

Hence if she cycles for the remainder of the time, expressing it as percentage would mean subtracting the time used in other means by 100%

Hence it will be 100% - 75% = 25%

Question 24… please someone help thank you!
fredd [130]

Answer:

72 in^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the square in the middle is

A = s^2 = 6^2 = 36

The area of the triangle on the left is

A =1/2 bh = 1/2 ( 6*6) = 18

The area of the triangle on the right

A = 1/2 bh = 1/2(6*6) = 18

Add the areas together

36+18+18 = 72
