Kind of a trick question:

If C is in middle of A and B then
AC + CB = AB but AC = CB so equation could be written AC + AC = AB. We know we that the length of AC = CA (same segment) so equation can be written as AC + CA = AB.

So B is your answer: CA

So AC = CA

PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Among 180 people 27 are managers, 100 are floor assistants and the rest are helpers. Under the rest we mean 180-27-100=53 people.

The event "randomly selected employee is not a floor assistant" is the same as "randomly selected employee is manager or helper". You can count that in total 27+53=80 people form the set of managers and helpers.

Then the probability that randomly selected employee is not a floor assistant is

Pr=\dfrac{80}{180}=\dfrac{4}{9}.

Answer: Pr=\dfrac{4}{9}.

maria [59]

Shannon's scooter has a piece of tape stuck to the tire. If the tire has a diameter of 18 inches, the distance traveled by the piece of tape in 72 degree rotaion can be solve using:

S= ra, where s is the distance traveled, r is the radius and a is the angle in radians

s = (18in/2)(72 degree)(pi/180 degrees) = 11.31 in.
