system of equations:

2m + 3b = 72

4m + 2b = 88

I used the elimination method and multiplied the 1st equation by -2

  -4m - 6b = -144

+  <u>4m + 2b =  88</u>

           -4b = -56

              b = 14

now solve for 'm'

2m + 3(14) = 72

2m + 42 = 72

2m = 30

m = 15
