According to this formula when:

ΔG = ΔH - TΔS = 0

∴ ΔS = ΔH/T

∴ ΔS = n*ΔHVap / Tvap

- when n is the number of moles = mass/molar mass

when the mass = 24.1 g

and the molar mass = 187.3764 g/mol

by substitution:

∴ n = 24.1 / 187.3764g/mol

      = 0.129 moles

and ΔHvap is the molar enthalpy of vaporization is 27.49 kJ/mol

and Tvap is the temperature in Kelvin = 47.6 + 273 = 320.6 K

So by substitution, we will get the ΔS the change in entropy:

∴ΔS = 0.129 mol * 27490 J/mol / 320.6 K

      = 11 J/K

All the substances listed below are fertilizers that contribute nitrogen to the soil.
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

Ammonia is the richest source of nitrogen on a mass percentage basis because it has 82.35% of nitrogen by mass.

Explanation:

Percentage of element in compound :

=\frac{\text{number of atoms}\times text{Atomic mass}}{\text{molar mas of compound}}\times 100

(a) Urea, (NH_2)_2CO

Molar mass of urea = 60 g/mol

Atomic mass of nitrogen = 14 g/mol

Number of nitrogen atoms = 2

N\%=\frac{2\times 14 g/mol}{60 g/mol}\times 100=46.67\%

(b) Ammonium nitrate, NH_4NO_3

Molar mass of ammonium nitrate = 80 g/mol

Atomic mass of nitrogen = 14 g/mol

Number of nitrogen atoms = 2

N\%=\frac{2\times 14 g/mol}{80 g/mol}\times 100=35.00\%

(c) Nitric oxide, NO

Molar mass of nitric oxide  = 30 g/mol

Atomic mass of nitrogen = 14 g/mol

Number of nitrogen atoms = 1

N\%=\frac{1\times 14 g/mol}{30 g/mol}\times 100=46.67\%

(d) Ammonia, NH_3

Molar mass of ammona = 17 g/mol

Atomic mass of nitrogen = 14 g/mol

Number of nitrogen atoms = 1

N\%=\frac{1\times 14 g/mol}{17 g/mol}\times 100=82.35\%

Ammonia is the richest source of nitrogen on a mass percentage basis because it has 82.35% of nitrogen by mass.

Charcoal found under a stone at Stonehenge, England, has a carbon-14 activity that is 0.60 that of new wood. How old is the char
kenny6666 [7]

Charcoal with a carbon-14 activity of 0.60 compared to new wood has less than 5,730 years.

<h3>What is a radioactive isotope?</h3>

A radioactive isotope is an element in nature that emit radioactivity in a given period of time (e.g., the half-life for C14 is equal to 5,730 years).

Radioactive dating is a technique to measure the age of an element by measuring its radioactive activity.

In conclusion, charcoal with a carbon-14 activity of 0.60 compared to new wood has less than 5,730 yr.

Use complete sentences to differentiate between acids and bases on the basis of their behavior when dissolved in water. Give an
forsale [732]
<span>Bases and Acids are chemically opposite from each other, and there are multiple ways to distinguish how they react when dissolved in water. One accepted definition is that an acid is any chemical substance that, when it is dissolved in water, creates a solution with hydrogen ion activity greater than pure/neutral water. That is, it donates a proton to the solution. Any substance with a pH less than 7.0 is an acid, and includes substances such as vinegar and lemon juice. By comparison, a base is any chemical substance that, when it is dissolved in water, creates a solution in which has hydrogen ion activity less than pure/neutral water. That is, it accepts protons. Any substance with a pH greater than 7.0 is a base, and includes substances such as ammonia and baking soda.</span>
