Answer:

A number of widely used procedures exist for detecting and determining the abundance of a particular mRNA in a total or poly(A) RNA sample. Here, we review four popular methods: Northern blot analysis, nuclease protection assays (NPA), in situ hybridization, and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Messenger RNA (mRNA) carries the genetic information copied from DNA in the form of a series of three-base code “words,” each of which specifies a particular amino acid. 2. Transfer RNA (tRNA) is the key to deciphering the code words in mRNA. Messenger RNA (mRNA) is a single-stranded RNA molecule that is complementary to one of the DNA strands of a gene. The mRNA is an RNA version of the gene that leaves the cell nucleus and moves to the cytoplasm where proteins are made.

Answer:

The process of making mRNA from DNA is called transcription, and it occurs in the nucleus. The mRNA directs the synthesis of proteins, which occurs in the cytoplasm. mRNA formed in the nucleus is transported out of the nucleus and into the cytoplasm where it attaches to the ribosomes.

Molodets [167]

Answer:

Receptors are highly specific and only have high affinity for those ligands for whom they are specific.

Explanation:

Receptors are proteins that receive a stimulus or bind a ligand and mediate effects via receptor effector system.

Receptors are macromolecules that are highly specific.

The affinity between the ligand and the receptors is determind by the disassociation constant Kd.

The receptors produce maximun effect when an appropriate specific stimulus is present.

Different recptors types are present for different ligands.

For example, muscrinic receptors are specific for acetycholine and adrenergic receptors are specific for adrenaline/nor adrenaline.

It is important to know the specificity so that the body remains in a state of balance.

Which compound is released by photosynthesis and used in aerobic respiration
slamgirl [31]

ATP

-Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is used in cellular respiration to make ATP. The glucose is then turned back into carbon dioxide, which is used in photosynthesis. -While water is broken down to form oxygen during photosynthesis, in cellular respiration oxygen is combined with hydrogen to form water.
