What is the numerical value of Kc for the following reaction if the equilibrium mixture contains 0.51 M
Goryan [66]

The numerical value of Kc is 1.129 x10^4

 Explanation

C3H6O +4O2→ 3 CO2 + 3H2O

KC is the ratio of concentration of the product over the reactant.

Each concentration of product and reactant are raised to the power of its coefficient.

Therefore the KC expression of equation above is

Kc=[ (Co2)^3 (H2O)^3] / [(C3H6O) (O2)^4)]

Kc =[(1.8^3) x (2.0^3)] / [(0.51) x (0.30^4)] =1.129 x10^4

A pile of Mgo dust is known to contain 2.082 mol. How many molecules are there?
nlexa [21]
Every one mol of MgO is 6.022 x 10^23 molecules (Avogado’s Number) So, you multiply 2.082 mol of MgO with 6.022 x 10^23 molecules. Hope this helps!

How can you separate the mixture of sand water and salt
suter [353]

Answer: Salt is soluble in water, when salt is added to water most of it dissolves to make a solution. When sand is added to water it either hangs in the water or forms a layer at the bottom of the container. Sand therefore does not dissolve in water and is insoluble. It is easy to separate sand and water by filtering the mixture. Salt can be separated from a solution through evaporation. The water can also be recovered as well as the salt if the water vapour is trapped and cooled to condense the water vapour back into a liquid. This process is called distillation.
