High blood pressure medications works in different ways and can have an effect in different time periods. In general you should allow about 2 - 3 weeks to see a full effect from a medication. This full effect is not only what the medication does, but how your system reacts to the drug and adjusts to the changes.

The hearing loss progresses as long as the exposure continues. Harmful effects might continue even after noise exposure has stopped.
