Hello,

Students in a drama club + in a yearbook club : 64

Students in a drama club : 10 more students than the yearbook club

Let x be the number of students in a drama club and y the number of students in the yearbook club.

We have :

x = y + 10 ⇔ x = 27 + 10 = 37

x + y = 64 ⇔ y + 10 + y = 64 ⇔ 2y = 54 ⇔ y = 27

There are 37 students in the drama club and 27 students in the yearbook club.

Question 4 (1 point)
igomit [66]

Answer:

x = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to solve for x in 3*(2x + 5) = 3x + 4x

First simplify.

3*(2x + 5) = 7x

Next, distribute the 3.

3*2x + 3*5 = 7x

6x + 15 = 7x

15 = 7x - 6x

15 = x
