Many teens today, especially because of the current pandemic, have been put under pressure more than even before. Not only are they expected to handle their online school at home and handle all assignments given to them in their free time, but some also have to deal with personal problems; such as taking care of siblings and being the authoritative figure in the household while their parents work. This forces many students into a controlled scheduled day which repeats itself in a constant cycle for days, weeks and months. This is heavily impacting students as they are forced to transition from their previous lives to a new one with little time to react, inciting high levels of stress hormones being produced than should in their age group. This is an issue that may not be easily found but the education system needs to be more thoughtful when forcing teens to fit certain standardized grades when the circumstances are obviously not the same as before.
