It encourages you too want to do that a good thing again because you associate positive reinforcement with your good actions and it makes you want to feel that positive reinforcement again. If you were to get yelled at about doing something bad you’re more likely two have a negative reaction to it then if you were to do something good and get rewarded it would have a higher affect.
