The sum of two numbers is 24 and their difference is . what are the numbers

X + y = 24
x - y = 2
-------------add
2x = 26
x = 26/2
x = 13

x - y = 2
13 - y = 2
-y = 2 - 13
-y = - 11
y = 11

ur numbers are 11 and 13

Sum= 24  ------> x + y = 24
difference ------> x - y = 2

2x = 26  ----> x = 13  y=11 

the answer is 13 & 11
