Answer:

  • not geometric

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratios of the numbers in the sequence 5, 10, 20, 50 are 2, 2, 2.5. That is, the ratios are not constant. Hence the sequence is not geometric.

Identify if the given equation represents exponential growth or decay.
charle [14.2K]

Answer:

The first is decay, seeing as it is in between 1 and 0

The second is growth, as it is greater than 1

Step-by-step explanation:

It's exponential growth when the base of our exponential is bigger than 1, which means those numbers get bigger. It's exponential decay when the base of our exponential is in between 1 and 0 and those numbers get smaller.

Janae found PointA located at ,(-2,5) and c is located at (6,1) . What would be the x coordinate of point b that bisects A and C
Alexxandr [17]

A point that bisects a segment would be its midpoint. This is a case where the vocabulary  (bisect as opposed to midpoint) makes it harder.

To find the midpoint, we use the midpoint formula. The midpoint formula is:

midpoint = (x₁ + x₂/2, y₁ + y/2). To find it, you add the x coordinates and then divide them by 2. Repeat for the y coordinates.

x: (-2 + 6)/2 = 4/2 = 2

y: (5 +1)/2 = 6/2 = 3

Thus the point B bisecting AC is at (2, 3).
