Answer:

Mass = 154.95 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of sodium react = 115 g

Mass of sodium oxide formed = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

4Na + O₂        →     2Na₂O

Number of moles of sodium:

Number of moles = mass/molar mass

Number of moles = 115 g/ 23 g/mol

Number of moles = 5 mol

Now we will compare the moles of sodium and sodium oxide.

                Na         :          Na₂O

                  4          :             2

                   5         :          2/4×5 = 2.5 mol

Mass of sodium oxide:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 2.5 mol ×  61.98 g/mol

Mass = 154.95 g

Which of these lists bodies in order, from CLOSEST to FURTHEST from the Earth? A) moon, sun, near edge of milky way, center of m
marta [7]
A) would be correct.

The moon is right next to Earth.

Earth orbits around the sun.

Our solar system is at the edge of the Milky Way. So the edge of the Milky Way would be nearer than the center.

(f) what is the observed rotation of 100 ml of a solution that contains 0.01 mole of d and 0.005 mole of l? (assume a 1-dm path
never [62]
Answer: .01 moles of D to .005 moles of L ~ so, .01+.005 = .015 total; using this total value, divide the portions of D and L. so .01/.015 to .005/.015 ~ 67% D to 33% L. And thus, the enantiomer excess will be 34%.

How many moles of n are in 0.163 g of n2o?
zimovet [89]

First convert 0.163 grams of N2O to mol by dividing it with the molecular weight. The molecular weight of N2O is 44 grams/mol. The answer would be 3,79x10^-3. Then multiply it with 2 since there are 2 Nitrogen in one mole of N2O. Therefore, there are 7.41x10^-3 moles of Nitrogen.
