1. X+2=3x-4
6=2x
x= 3

2. y= 8-x
8-x = 3x+4
4= 4x
X= 1

3. -2x +3(2x+7)=9
-2x + 6x + 21 = 9
4x = -12
x= -3

Consider the two vectors A with arrow = 3 î − ĵ and B with arrow = − î − 2 ĵ. (a) Calculate A with arrow + B with arrow 2 Correc
Verdich [7]

Answer:

Let \vec{A}=3\hat{i}-\hat{j} and \vec{B}=-\hat{i}-2\hat{j}.

a)

\vec{A}+\vec{B}=(3\hat{i}-\hat{j})+(-\hat{i}-2\hat{j})=2\hat{i}-3\hat{j}

b)

\vec{A}-\vec{B}=(3\hat{i}-\hat{j})-(-\hat{i}-2\hat{j})=4\hat{i}+\hat{j}

c) Now we calculate the direction of \vec{A}+\vec{B} and  \vec{A}-\vec{B}

We calculate the direction of \vec{A}+\vec{B} like this:

\theta=tan^{-1}(\frac{-3}{2})=-56,3^{\circ}. Since, 270\leq\theta\leq360, then the direction of \vec{A}+\vec{B} is 360^{\circ}-\theta=360^{\circ}-56.3^{\circ}=303.7^{\circ}.

Now, for \vec{A}-\vec{B}

\theta=tan^{-1}(\frac{1}{4})=14^{\circ}.

Geometry distance formula
viktelen [127]

A(-4, 2) and B(3, -2).

I will do number 2.

Let d(A, B) = distance between the two points.

d(A, B) = sqrt{(3 -(-4))^2 + (-2-2)^2}

d(A, B) = sqrt{(3 + 4))^2 + (-2-2)^2}

d(A, B) = sqrt{(7)^2 + (-4)^2}

d(A, B) = sqrt{49 + 16}

d(A, B) = sqrt{65}

SOMEONE HELP ME WITH MATH PLEASE !
Alla [95]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

First, eliminate choice B b/c the max is 28, not 26.

Next, lets find the median.

(12+18+20+20+24+26+28+28) = (20+24)/2 = 22

That leaves us with only A & C as a possible answer.

Q1 = The median of the first half of the data (12, 18, 20, 20)

Q1 = (18+20) / 2 = 19

A & C have the same Q1 values, so we need to compare Q3 values.

Q3 = The median of the second half of the data (24, 26, 28, 28)

Q3 = (26+28) / 2 = 27

The Correct Answer is C b/c A had a different Q3 value.
