Given:

Total solution : 1000mL

Pure acetic acid = 26mL

To find:

The percent concentration of given solution.

Solution:

We know that,

\text{Percent concentration}=\dfrac{\text{Pure acetic acid}}{\text{Total solution}}\times 100

Putting the given values, we get

\text{Percent concentration}=\dfrac{26}{1000}\times 100

\text{Percent concentration}=\dfrac{26}{10}

\text{Percent concentration}=2.6

Therefore, the percent concentration of this solution is 2.6%.

Hey there! :D

First, find the slope.

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) I'm using points (0,3) and (1,5)

m=(5-3)/(1-0)
m= 2/1
m=2

Now, plug that into point slope. Use point (1,5) m=2

y-y1= m(x-x1)

y-5= 2(x-1)

Distribute.

y-5=2x-2

Add 5 to both sides.

y=2x+3 == equation of the line in slope intercept form. y=mx+b

I hope this helps!

A taxi service charges one dollar for the first 1/10 of a mile then $.10 for each additional 1/10 of a mile after that
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

y  = 1.00+0.10 x (if this is what you meant)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a taxi has a minimum charge of 1 dollar upto 1/10 mile and adds 0.10 for every additional 1/10 mile.

If a person travels <=1/10 miles his charges are 1 dollar

If he travels >1/10 miles charges are 1 dollar +0.10(extra miles 1/10)

Let y be the charges and x be the no of 1/10 miles.

Then the equation for y in terms of x would be

y =1.00 +1/10(x)

y  = 1.00+0.10 x

Connecting a DVD player to a television set requires a cable with special connectors at both ends. You buy a six-foot cable for
ankoles [38]
So a 3 foot cable is10.25
a 6foot cable is 15.50
so
x=cost per foot
y=cost of special connectors
3x+y=10.25
6x+y=15.50
make first equation negative and add to the first
3x=5.25
divide both sides by 3
1.75=x
so it costs 1.75 for a foot of cable

subtitue into first equation
3(1.75)+y=10.25
5.25+y=10.25
subtract 5.25 from both sides
y=5 dollars=cost of special so
4x+y=4(1.75)+5=7+5=$12

so the cost of a 4 foot cable is $12

How do I find the possible values of x
g100num [7]
The 2 triangles in the big triangle are similar so we can write
3x / 3x - 2 = 5x / 3x

9x^2 =  15x^2 - 10x
6x^2 - 10x = 0
x(6x - 10) = 0
x= 0 or  5/3
