Answer with explanation:

Length of ladder= 11 meter

Distance from foot of ladder to base of wall = 4 meter

Let height of Wall upto which Ladder reach = h meter

By using Pythagorean theorem

⇒(Length of ladder)²=(Height of Wall upto which Ladder reach)² + ( Distance from foot of ladder to base of wall)²

⇒(11)²=(Height of Wall upto which Ladder reach)²+4²

Subtracting 16 from both sides

⇒121 -16 = (Height of Wall upto which Ladder reach)²

⇒105 = (Height of Wall upto which Ladder reach)²

⇒ Height of Wall upto which Ladder reach

                           =\sqrt{105}\\\\=10.2469\\\\=10.25 \text{meter}

Use pythagorean theorem. 11m is the hypotenuse, while 4m is one of the legs. the wall should create a right angle with the ground which will allow for the pythagorean theorem. The height of where the ladder reaches will be named x.
x=√11^2-4^2=10.25m.

Select all the correct answers. What is 221,000,000,000,000,000,000 expressed in scientific notation? 2. 21 × 1021 2. 21E20 2. 2
goldfiish [28.3K]

To solve the problem we must know about Scientific notations.

Scientific notations

The way through which a very small or a very large number can be written in shorthand. In scientific notations when a number between 1 and 10s is multiplied by a power of 10.

For example, 6,500,000,000,000 can be written as 6.5e+12.

The number of 221,000,000,000,000,000,000 can be represented as 2.21e+21.

Explanation

Given to us

  • 221,000,000,000,000,000,000

The above number can be written as 2.21e+21.

As in scientific notations, the number between 1 and 10 can only be represented, therefore, the number can be only 2.21e+21.

Hence, the number of 221,000,000,000,000,000,000 can be represented as 2.21e+21.

A survey of high schools within a district revealed that for ninth graders, 38% offer no honors classes, 12% offer one
daser333 [38]

Answer:

0.30

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the probability by adding the probabilities together for having two and four honors classes.

25% offer two honors classes and 5% offer four honors classes. Add these together:

25 + 5

= 30

So, there is a 30% probability that the school offers an even number of honors classes.

The correct answer is 0.30.

I watched a video and didn't get my free answer, can I have some help,
vazorg [7]

Answer:

y + 13 = 5(x + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form of the equation of a line is

y = mx + b,

where m = slope, and b = y-intercept.

From the slope-intercept equation y = 5x - 3, we see that the slope of the line is 3.

The point-slope form of the equation of a line is:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

where m = slope, and (x1, y1) is a point on the line.

We have point (-2, -13), so x1 = -2, and y1 = -13.

We also have slope 5, so m = 5.

Now we use the coordinates of the given point and the slope in the point-slope equation.

y - (-13) = 5(x - (-2))

We simplify to get

y + 13 = 5(x + 2)
