The answer would be 69! One easy way to figure this out would be to figure out the difference between each number which would be 3, and subtract that from the starting number which would be 12. 12-3=9. Now turn it into an equation, since the pattern is going by 3’s we will multiply 3 20 times. 3 x 20=60 and then add 9 which is the difference between 12 and 3. 3x20+9=69, or you can do it the way i have attached.

After a special medicine is introduced into a petri dish containing a bacterial culture, the number of bacteria remaining in the
34kurt

Answer:

The bacterial culture loses  \dfrac{5}{8}  of its size every 7 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

The relationship between the elapsed time t, in seconds, and the number of bacteria, N(t), in the petri dish is modeled by the function:

N(t)=4900\cdot\left(\dfrac38\right)^{t/7}

Since the growth factor is less than 1, it is a decay equation.

\dfrac38=1-\dfrac58\\N(t)=4900\cdot\left(1-\dfrac58\right)^{t/7}

Observe that the time t is divided by 7.

This is the period.

We can therefore say that the bacterial culture loses \dfrac{5}{8}  of its size every 7 seconds.

What is 0.7022 to the nearest tenth
STatiana [176]
This is simple. Remember this: 5 and up, take it up. 4 or less, make it less

There are many placed after the decimal. Tenths is the first place, hundredths is the second, thousandths is the third, so on such forth.

If it wants you to round to the nearest TENTH, this means you have to look at the first digit after the decimal, this is the number your rounding. To determine if it goes up or down, you look at the digit to the right of it. In this case, next to the .7 is a 0. "4 or less, make it less"
Well, this means that the number will be taken down to make 0.7, as the 0 is 5 or more. If it were, it would be 0.8

~Hope this helps!
