7.2 because you just add the -4.8 to cancel out the -4.8 on the right side. and you get 7.2

The distance between the ballon and canoe is 16.8 meters. So -12+d=4.8

Need help with my trig homework
dalvyx [7]

The 30º-60º-90º triangle is a special case you'd do well to remember, because the legs always occur in the same ratio to one another. As your picture shows (I'm guessing "SL" stands for short leg?), the sides labeled 4, y and x occur in a ratio of 1 to √3 to 2.

This means

sin(30º) = SL/(2*SL) = 1/2

tan(30º) = SL/(√3*SL) = 1/√3

(and also cos(30º) = (√3*SL)/(2*SL) = √3/2, though you don't really need that here)

So in this triangle, x and y satisfy

sin(30º) = 4/x

tan(30º) = 4/y

This comes straight from the definitions of sine and tangent. Then

4/x = 1/2 ==> x = 8

4/y = 1/√3 ==> y = 4√3

Solve: -6____=-8 ; what goes on the blank spot?
grin007 [14]
There are at least two different things that could go in
the blank spot and make the equation a true statement.

It could be " - 2 " .

It could be " · 4/3 " .

It could be " + 2 cos(π) "

etc.

The circumference of a circular garden is 141.3 feet. What is the radius of the garden? Use 3.14 for π and do not round your ans
Olin [163]

Answer:

22.5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for circumference is 2(3.14)r

So, we divide 141.3 by 6.28 and get 22.5

The radius is 22.5 feet.
