Answer: Each apple would cost $0.75.

Step-by-step explanation: If each juice is $1.75, then 2 of them equal $3.5. Subtract this from $9.50 to get 6 dollars remaining. We know now we can buy 8 apples from the remaining 6 dollars. So from this, divide 6 by 8, you get $0.75.

The customer gave me:
-- a ticket worth  $5
-- a ticket worth  $2
-- a bill worth      $100
     Total. . . . . . .$107

I gave him:
-- some gas worth  $17.01
-- a ticket worth       $  5
-- two $1 tickets      $  2
-- a ticket worth       $  3
        Total. . . . . . . .$27.01

The total value of everything we trade has to be equal.

I owe him    ( $107.00  -  $27.01 )  =   $79.99 in change

Cuanto me da como resultado
Likurg_2 [28]

Step-by-step explanation:

1) (-4)^2{\cdot}(-4)

We know that, a^x{\cdot}a^y=a^{x+y}

(-4)^2{\cdot}(-4)=(-4)^{2+1}\\\\=(-4)^3\\\\=64

2) (-2)^5{\cdot} (-2)^3

Again using above property,

(-2)^5{\cdot} (-2)^3=(-2)^8\\\\=256

3) 5^{-3}

We know that,

a^{-x}=\dfrac{1}{a^x}

So,

5^{-3}=\dfrac{1}{5^3}\\\\=\dfrac{1}{125}

4) 2.5^2=2.5\times 2.5\\\\=6.25

Hence, this is the required solution.

The roof of the building shown below has a span of 48 feet. The rafters upon which the roof is laid are 30 feet long, including
anyanavicka [17]

Solution :

Given :

Span of the roof = 48 feet

Length of the rafter = 30 feet (including the 4 feet overhung)

So, for the 30 feet long rafter, 26 feet will be rafter length from the high point of the roof to the edge of the roof and 4 feet will be the roof overhung.

Therefore, the horizontal span per rafter is

$=\frac{48}{2}$

= 24 feet

a). So the rise of the roof is $= \sqrt{(26)^2-(24)^2}$

                                         = 10 feet

b). Pinch of the roof is $=\frac{\text{rise}}{\text{run}}$

                                     $=\frac{10}{24}$

                                     $=\frac{5}{12}$

c). The percent of the roof used as overhung is

     $=\frac{4+4}{60}\times 100$

     $=\frac{80}{6}$

       = 13.33 %
